JFK's will be holding a World Championship Qualifier on Monday 30th May. 12pm registration for a 1pm start. Entry is £20. All matches are best of 11 frames. 16-20 runners. Please text or phone Jerry Tickell on 07773 373 045 to reserve a space and I'll post a list of runners here.
The format of this years championships has been altered to give qualifiers more benefit from their entry onto the world scene and allow them to play in the main arena. If you qualify you will play in the World Championship arena on Saturday 25th June, groups of 6/7 players in a round robin, gives each player 5/6 matches, best of 7. On completion of the round robin the top 4 in each group, a total of 16, will go forward to a KO event down to a winner, also played on the Saturday.
15 players who win through to the KO stage will be invited back on Tuesday 28th to play in the World Championship Singles, whilst the winner of the KO will receive a Wild Card to the last 48 stage on Friday 1st July, one stage before the top 8 seeds enter the event!
All qualifiers will receive a minimum of 2 nights B&B accomodation at the 4-Star Imperial Hotel, Blackpool on the nights of Friday 24th and Saturday 25th June.
